Jerry Rickmeyer has over 28 years of experience specializing in the taxation of corporations and high net worth individuals. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a Masters of Business Taxation from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Jerry began his career in public accounting with PriceWaterhouseCooper’s LLP. (“PWC”). After 6 years with PWC, Jerry moved to Orange County and transferred to Deloitte for 5 years. In February of 2002, Jerry established his own firm and began practicing public accounting in Newport Beach.

 

Over his career, Jerry was the Senior Tax Manager on a prestigious list of both public and private corporations including but not limited to: ARCO, Avery Dennison, B/E Aerospace, The Cheesecake Factory, Commerce Casino, Concord Records, Discount Tire Stores, First American RELS Group, Inamed, Jerry’s Famous Deli, Johnny Rockets Restaurants, Kenwood USA, Lynch Ambulance, MolliCoolz, Neutrogena, Printrak International, Quest Software, Rockwell International, Shoe Pavilion, Simulation Sciences, SnackWorks, Tekelec, Village Road Show Entertainment, and 3D Corporation.

Based on his work with these clients, Jerry has expertise dealing with closely held businesses, mergers and acquisitions, consolidated tax returns, multi-national tax filings, multi-state tax filings, FASB 109 tax provisions, FIN 48 and related SEC tax reporting, research and experimentation tax credits, enterprise zone tax credits, stock options and restricted stock issues.

 

Jerry is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California and is active with the California Society of CPA’s, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association for Corporate Growth and the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce.

 

Jerry resides in the City of Villa Park with his wife and four boys. He enjoys racing dirt bikes in the desert with AMA District 37. Jerry is an Eagle Scout and received the Congressional Silver Medal for public service.

Darin has over 19 years of experience and specializes in the taxation of corporations. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California at Irvine and a Masters of Business Taxation from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Darin began his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen LLP. (“Andersen”). After 4 years with Andersen, Darin transferred to Deloitte for 4 years leaving as a Senior Tax Manager. In February of 2005, Darin joined Rickmeyer & Associates as a Principal practicing public accounting in Newport Beach.

Over his career Darin has managed a number of public and private clients including but not limited to: Autobytel, Smith Micro Software, Kofax Image Products, Intralase Corporation, Powerwave Technologies, Buy.com, Tickets.com, RSI Holdings, and MonierLifetile. He has worked on the Initial Public Offerings of Autobytel, Buy.com, BuyNow.com and Tickets.com. Based on his work with these clients, Darin has expertise in mergers and acquisitions, FASB 109 tax provision reporting, multi-state and multi-national tax filings, and research and development credits.

Darin is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California and is active with the California Society of CPA’s, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and was a Director of Finance for the Orange Coast Venture Group.
